CLEPA among stakeholders to analyse new EU Deforestation Regulation

The EUDR imposes obligations on each operator and trader in the supply chain, including manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, retailers and exporters.

In the framework of the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) applying by the end of 2024, Drive Sustainability, Drive +, CLEPA and VDA are working together to assess the scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The EUDR imposes obligations on each operator and trader in the supply chain, including manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, retailers and exporters.

This report is based on the text of the EUDR itself and on the Commission’s frequently asked questions (“FAQ”) document (version 22 December 2023)2. The Blue Guide on the implementation of EU product rules (2022), a guidance document published by the Commission, is used where relevant to contribute to a better understanding.
